Charterhouse step up to boost Three Peaks Challenge

During June 2007 twelve men aim to reach new personal heights in a bid to raise money for Breast Cancer Care. The team will attempt the UK’s most challenging mountains during a gruelling 24 hours, starting their journey in Scotland to tackle the difficult ascent of Ben Nevis, before moving on to climb the Lake Districts’ Scafell Pike and finally completing their task at the foot of Snowdon in Wales.

Whilst also raising much needed funds for the charity, the group aims to raise awareness of breast cancer in men. The disease is most commonly diagnosed in women, however figures from Breast Cancer Care show that over 250 men are diagnosed with the condition in the UK each year.

Joseph Dumont, Director of Sensible Staffing and organiser of the event, thanked Charterhouse for their support: ‘I have always recommended Charterhouse to our contractors and it is excellent that our close business relationship has been channelled to benefit such a worthwhile cause.’

Eugene Lantry, CEO of Charterhouse Group International, a sponsor of the event, said: ‘We wish the team every success in their difficult challenge and are delighted to offer our support.”
