Professional Training Programme at Charterhouse Group International
What do you need?
Ambition - keen to achieve success personally for the
organisation and customers. This means embracing personal development and
having a positive attitude towards change and organisational development.
Potential - to achieve a senior management or specialist role
in the longer term. To identify this potential we will look for evidence of
intellectual and practical ability in the following:
-
Seeing the ' big picture' - we expect you to quickly
analyse information and situations and see the 'bigger picture'. For example,
understanding our clients' needs and the Group's role in meeting them; being
able to think ahead about how services could be developed, and the ability to
think creatively about solutions to problems.
-
Numeracy
- to be able to interpret figures accurately (on occasions this may involve
large volumes of numerical data), be able to conduct basic arithmetic
calculations accurately, and present numerical data to others in a way they can
understand. Grade A -C GCSE Maths or equivalent is desirable.
-
Literacy
- be able to write clearly, concisely and to adapt your style for various
purposes (e.g. letters, advertisements or reports for decision makers). Grade A
-C GCSE English or equivalent is desirable.
-
IT champion
- we will expect you to champion the use of IT to increase the efficiency of
the Group's operations. You must be a confident user of Windows based
applications and spreadsheets.
-
Communication
- you must be able to communicate effectively and exert influence in a variety
of contexts. This includes dealing courteously with customers and colleagues,
being able to present your case articulately 'one- to-one', in meetings or via
presentations to groups.
-
Be a flexible team player - we want you to be prepared to take
the lead, and equally be prepared to take instructions and show respect for
others. Trainees are encouraged to contribute to development projects across
the whole organisation.
